West Hungary Darts Maths In-Person Team Competition – Zalaegerszeg

Are you familiar with Darts Maths? A competition was even held for it in Zala, in the heart of Hungary’s southwestern region.
Students no longer learn with slate boards, that’s for sure. On Thursday, the Zalaegerszeg Dózsa György Hungarian-English Bilingual Primary School hosted the regional Darts Maths competition, where students from schools in the Zalaegerszeg and Pápa school districts competed in three age groups.

In the morning, Attila Kajári, Director of the Zalaegerszeg School District Center, and András Pacsa, Principal of the host school, welcomed all 71 teams, with a total of 254 students taking part in the challenge. Darts Maths is an interactive educational software designed to help children master basic math skills and develop their abilities using a digital darts board. The competition itself mirrored this interactive approach. Many schools across Zala already utilize the program, thanks to funding from the Zalaegerszeg School District Center.
